Karma Diva Green Cleaning has been cleaning homes and small businesses in the Northwestern Philadelphia Area since 2010.

Origin Story

Karma Diva Green Cleaning was born from our founder's difficulty maintaining a clean house due to an abundance of interests and activities and limited amount of time in the day. Sound familiar?

Anyone who’s ever met Kirstin can say that she is, at any given moment, abuzz with activity from one interest or another. The truth is, Kirstin has lived with ADHD and CPTSD since her childhood. She started her family when she was 19 years old and when the struggles got real she needed a way of holding herself accountable for her daily housekeeping tasks that didn’t involve shaming herself which would only drag her further behind. As the saying goes, “those who can’t do, teach”. She started Karma Diva Green Cleaning to establish processes that would help her clients and, in turn, herself. Has it worked? You betcha!

Our clients have reported the results of hiring us have brought structure to their household schedule which has helped them with everything from productivity and improved health to enhanced mood and even saving marriages! Everyone wears a house differently and at Karma Diva, we work with our clients to find the right pacing for their scheduled visits and timing that balances the needs of our cleaning teams and our clientele. 

Our confirmation  schedule gives 10 days advance notice of our intended visit, with details about who we plan to send and the timeframe we are planning for. We rely on the consistency of this plan to maintain the balanced needs of everyone involved in the keeping of this system. Of course, we are all human, so these needs may occasionally shift with the push and pull of health needs and holiday schedules.

To us, Quality Assurance starts with staying informed. From our clients’ first cleaning request and consultation to our technicians’ quiz scores and ongoing communication regarding shifts in our notes and even safety concerns that they find throughout their work.

Our Billing department is tracking shifts in the daily workload that are communicated by our team. Invoices are sent and payments are run, typically, the morning of the next work day. We do request that our clients provide us with their credit card information to save in our system so we can run payments as cleaning appointments happen. This helps us stay on track with our Payroll needs.

Using plant-based cleaning agents and some loving elbow grease this team of eco-conscious professional house cleaners has worked to create a reliable and trusted name for this triple bottom line business. 

Our cleaning team earns an increasingly competitive living wage with wellness support that highlights a flexible schedule with monthly credits for massage, yoga, acupuncture, and more to the hard-working staff members on the team.

Many of the team members have been with Karma Diva for several years and are a great help to new team members as they become familiar with the quality standards and processes that keep things running smoothly. And we love our clients! We know that bringing reliable service to their schedule reciprocates reliability in ours.

We currently have a long waiting list of new clients that would like to get onto our schedule and we would love to take them on. We need more professional cleaners to join our team so we can take on more clients. Kirstin has also had a lifelong interest in massage therapy and took 2020 as an opportunity to receive the training to earn her license. As of March 2021, Kirstin is now a Licensed Massage Therapist. She is still available, on occasion, to help out if needed for daily operations for the cleaning business. But largely she is happy to have a competent team that she can trust so she can focus on helping her clients relieve the pain and stress that could otherwise keep them from living their daily lives feeling light and ready for anything!
